I’ve been an independent producer and audio engineer for around ten years now and have been blogging since 2001. This is a blog that features tips and secrets for better music production and engineering. Learn how the pros of yesterday and today get the sounds that you love. We’ll be covering such topics as working with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), microphone and instrument combinations, coaching artists to get the most out of their performances, and developing effective business practices for the independent producer. I’m aiming at having posts for beginners, intermediate, and advanced experience levels. Keep tuned, visit often, and get to work!

If you find this blog useful, feel free to donate to encourage me to keep writing!

Thanks for reading.

Hey Dan, I would find it great to get an overview about some basic books, which cover effects, mix down etc. about music production using DAW’s. Do you think it is possible to post something like this?

    Cheers – Ganzheitlich

That’s a good idea Ganzheitlich. I have a few that helped me immensely. I’ll write one up in a bit.

Hi, I was just wondering if you were interested in publishing any guest posts about sound production. I have two well-written articles about multi-band compression and drum production, each 500 words long with a licenced image.

If these sound suitable please let me know and I can send over the posts for your review.

I look forward to hearing from you.
