You're totally right. I didn't get into the midi patterns. I'm sure that brings a whole other level to the possibilities! Thanks for letting me try it out!

Hi Dan,

Thank for the review (I am from the Ohmicide:Melohman design team). I found your use of it on vocal very smart and a pay off. As you can guess it wasn't our typical user's case ^^.

One note about guitar : ohmicide:melohman alone on a guitar can't really be telling without the use of a (preferably stereo)(!) speaker/cabinet emulator. Basically you can consider O:M to replace your comp, disto and preamp but on a guitar the post filter isn't enough to bring you in the realm of "good-sounding-in-the-mix" guitar.

We thought about including one but those emulators are already complex by themselves and we already spend two years on the O:M as it is which I think is very rarely spend on an effect :P

I also feel like you may have missed the melohman possibility of Ohmicide:Melohman. Adding some midi patterns driving preset morphing on, say... drums is certainly worth it, especially if you need to mute the feedback generators sometimes and get tired of automations ^^
