Thx Dan :-)

I was just anyways trying to rule out the "best possible" way ... rather the best practice.

One more thing ... Well a reverb effect being directly proportional to the real room acoustics hence it seems better to share a single 100% reverb accross all channels thru the send bus ... but now I feel that as Compression needs to be different per voice / instrument its better to put it oer track as an insert OR atleast can rarely be shared by multiple tracks if used thru send buses

Thx

Hey vtlabs...

Seems to me that they leave the option to insert things on individual tracks simply to increase the flexibility. Sometimes you DO want to compress just a single track, or maybe you want to have a reverb on a single track element and then compress it, or have a send have an effect before it's sent. Basically - why not? It's better than having two dozen effects sends...

Hi .. a good topic.

Can you please comment on a thing that why really these s/w like Nuendo/Sonar etc allow us to put the FX inserts per track especially reverb & compressors.

Does that have a special reason ?

Thanks & regards
Happy New Year !
